Updating Payment Methods

How to add, update, or remove payment methods on your SafeVault Pro subscription.

Managing Your Payment Methods

If your card is expiring, you want to switch to a different payment method, or you need to update billing details, you can do it all from your account settings.

How to Update Your Payment Method

  1. Open SafeVault and go to Settings → Subscription → Payment Methods
  2. Click Update Payment Method
  3. Enter your new card details or select a different payment option
  4. Click Save

Your next billing cycle will use the updated payment method.

Adding a New Payment Method

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription → Payment Methods
  2. Click Add Payment Method
  3. Choose your payment type:
    • Credit or debit card
    • PayPal
    • Apple Pay
  4. Enter the required details
  5. Click Add

You can set any saved method as your default for future charges.

Removing a Payment Method

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription → Payment Methods
  2. Find the method you want to remove
  3. Click Remove
  4. Confirm the removal

Note: You must have at least one active payment method while subscribed to Pro. Add a new method before removing the old one.

Billing Issues

Payment Failed

If a payment fails:

  1. SafeVault sends you an email notification
  2. You have 7 days to update your payment method
  3. During this grace period, your Pro features remain active
  4. If not resolved, your account reverts to the free plan (your data is preserved)

Unexpected Charges

If you see an unexpected charge:

  1. Check your subscription status in Settings → Subscription
  2. Verify whether you're on monthly or annual billing
  3. Contact support if the charge doesn't match your plan

Receipts and Invoices

To download receipts for past payments:

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription → Billing History
  2. Click the Download icon next to any payment
  3. Receipts are available as PDF

All receipts include your subscription details, amount charged, and payment method used.
